FREQUENTLY ASKED
Questions

1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?

We've been shooting DSLR since 2011 and have been taking on clients and doing weddings since 2013. Over the years, we've had the privilege of serving a plethora of amazing individuals, families, couples, new parents and their newborns, and more and have developed amazing friendships with our clients in multiple states.

2. DO WE OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE IMAGES?

We give a print release so that you can make unlimited copies and prints of your images. So long as you aren't selling your images, entering them in photo contests, or submitting them to vendors or blogs without us knowing or without our permission, they are yours!

3. HOW MANY IMAGES DO YOU DELIVER PER WEDDING?
We typically deliver 30-50 images per hour of coverage. How many final images you receive will depend on the length of your wedding and a few other variables. If your wedding is shorter and simple, you might receive less images than an extremely detailed & long wedding. If there is a second shooter, there will be more images.

4. HOW WILL YOU DELIVER OUR IMAGES?

You will receive all of your final images delivered to you in an online gallery with a print release, as previously mentioned. In your online gallery, you will be able to download the full (high) resolution files, as well as order professional prints through me.

Frequently Asked Questions

5. HOW FAST WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?

You will receive all of your final images between 6-8 weeks after your wedding day unless previously noted otherwise. We spend as much time as we can on your images to make sure we am only sending you the best of the best! If for any reason we should take longer than 8 weeks to deliver your images to you, we will always let you know beforehand, and will definitely not leave you hanging (meaning we'll send you plenty of sneak peeks from the day so you're not left in the dark). We have never to date delivered a wedding later than 12 weeks. For non-wedding sessions, you will receive your final images between 2-3 weeks after your session.

6. HOW DO WE BOOK WITH YOU?

A signed contract and a 35% non-refundable retainer of the total service (for weddings). As soon as you're ready, we will prepare everything for you. We do contracts and invoices online to stay paperless and make the process as smooth and simple as possible. For non-wedding sessions (i.e. portraits, families, etc) We require a 50% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking and a signed contract to book your session. If a non-wedding session is included in your wedding package, there is no separate process for that.

7. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
We'll be honest with you, we think this question, while frequently asked, is one of those silly questions that wedding blogs and magazines feed you that isn't always necessary to ask. We would hope that our work speaks for itself, but in the case that, after viewing our work you would still like for us to describe our style, we'll tell you that we're storytellers. The pictures that we take are timeless and tell a story, our picture style is light & airy. Our shooting style allows us to capture every raw emotion on your wedding day and fit it all into a gallery (or an album) that tells the story of your love and is just a tiny chapter of your life. We put a great deal of effort into getting to know every couple and relationship to best capture one of the most important days of their lives.

8. WILL I GET A SNEAK PEEK BEFORE THE GALLERY IS DELIVERED?

A lot of times I will send over a sneak peek of 2-3 images from a session before I actually deliver the full gallery 6-8 weeks after the date the images were taken. I do not always send over sneak peeks within the first week because sometimes my schedule does not allow it. However, I try my best to always share a little something to keep clients excited to see how absolutely amazing they look in front of my camera.

9. WHAT DO YOU SHOOT WITH?
We shoot on a Canon 6D. The lenses I carry with me are the canon 70-200 mm f/2.8, the canon 35 mm f2.0, the canon 50 mm f/1.4, the canon 85 mm f/1.8, & the canon 100 mm f/2.8 macro lens. I always have extra batteries on me at all times to ensure that I don't miss a single moment of your day. I also have a minimum of 10 extra memory cards in my camera bag that are readily available at any given moment. For poorly lit receptions/churches, I shoot with my flash and light should we need it.

10. WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?

The simple answer would be that we love love! But the longer answer would be that we realize the power of capturing young love in its pure, raw, emotional state! The images we take will last for generations to come and the impact that they will have will be more than you realize. So in fifty years when you are grandparents and your granddaughter is engaged, you can look through your album one page at a time. Even with the passing of time, she would be able to realize not just by seeing the images but by feeling the emotions how much her grandpa loves her grandma and the legacy of love she will soon inherit, preserve, and ultimately pass on to the next generation has great power. Power to effect the marriages in her family not just hers, the power to get loved ones through rough moments, the power to transform family trees. We know that between our parents and grandparents, we inherited a mantle of marriage over 220 years long, and it is never lost on us that, we got what we got because of what was given to us. So we are wedding photographers because we want to help you give that to your children and grandchildren too!
